The last two weeks were about beginning to establish consistency again. The real challenge was fitting in physical activity alongside family obligations. While I missed the first week's mileage target, I did get a lot of swimming in. The cross training seems to have worked out a couple kinks I still felt with my knee when running downhill. My hope is I can put in two more solid weeks and feel fit enough to start a real training schedule.

It feels so good to be back on my feet. The goal really was to just get my legs back, slowly but surely, to the point where I felt I could start a training schedule. I visited my brother in Vermont and we did a hike at Mount Washington up to Lion's Head and back down Tuckerman Ravine. If I was unsure of my knee before the hike, I finished the hike with confidence that my knee was ready to take on a little more than I thought.
Now that I have a few good weeks under me, I feel poised to start some light speed work this week. I now have a training plan, though I don't have a race scheduled yet. I need to see what's out there in the next couple months, preferably in the area.
