My main focus for January obviously wasn't mileage, it was quality. I focused on harder running, incorporating more speed and tempo running than long runs. I feel pretty strong, though I want to get back to putting in some nice long runs. My best run came with the 7.28 miler. It was a new route for me in Lincoln, just south of Purcellville, VA. There a nice, rolling hills that provide a bit of a challenge. I didn't feel like I ran particularly hard and was not thinking about pace at all. I finished at an average pace of 8:26, which is a lot faster than I run when I'm just out for fun. This route definitely warrants elaboration in a future post.

Sean,
I've been checking back to see your posts, but didn't see anything for a while. Looks like you've been sticking with a good plan. I just got from running in Vienna, Va. and it is COLD out today (2/10). Hope you're not going to run today! Take care.
I love the blog that you have. I was wondering if you would link my blog to yours and in return I would do the same for your blog. If you want to, my site name is American Legends and the URL is:
www.americanlegends.blogspot.com
If you want to do this just go to my blog and in one of the comments just write your blog name and the URL and I will add it to my site.
Thanks,
David
Nice blog I shall start to read it frequently
