5.7 Miles: Williams Gap Loop

Another beautiful afternoon. I was in training today, and blessedly about to do some work email during the breaks, so when class let out a little early, I was able to get home and get a run in complete daylight. Today was one of those days runners feel a small part of themselves die if they don't get outside. Sunny, blue skies with temperatures in the mid-50s! I hit one of my favorite loops and coasted for 5.7 miles, hardly realizing that my legs were even moving. I finished up in 52:36 and still don't feel like I did anything.

Greatest feeling in the world, to coast along effortlessly like that!

Those runs are the BEST. I think they're one of the reasons I started running, so I could do just that. "Coast" happily for miles, in the sunshine on a trail... Heaven!

Hey, Sean! How are you incorporating bicycling into your running program?

Do you ride on the days you don't run or what?

Nothing beats a great day and great run. Quick question for everyone, does anyone know any good beginner running groups in northern Utah? Any help for the new runner would be great.

Juris--I know I respdonded to your comment a long time ago, but I don't see it here anymore. The gist of it was that I fit the biking in as best I can. Right now, it's supplements my running, though it may take over for short periods of time. Essentially, I ride on my off days, but sometimes I decide to run after getting off the bike.
