"Strength Training"

Starting New Year's Eve, my father-in-law and I started laying the new hardwood floor in the foyer. By 8:30 am we were underway. At 5:30 pm we called it a day to celebrate the new year's coming in. The next morning we started at about 10:00 and wrapped up at 4:30. While working, I spent most of my time alternating between squatting, crouching, kneeling, and standing. The sum effect was very sore hamstrings, quads, groin, and inexplicably, my right calf. Definitely a great workout for the old legs. Fortunately, my knee is feeling fine--so I may be able to run once the muscles recover from the latest abuse.

Oh, and the floor looks great!
